New Zealand Wines

In two separate islands, New Zealand has ten wine-growing regions. The grape accounts for around 60 percent of plantings across the country and around 85 percent of New Zealand’s wine exports. Most of New Zealand’s wine regions have a maritime climate.

High mountains are going through the middle of the country and protects most of the main wine regions from the strong winds from the Tasman Sea. Because of this, few wine regions are on New Zealand’s west coast.
