Grapes
Made of Chardonnay (85%) and Pinot Noir (15%), a selection of the best grapes from the 19 municipalities that make up ‘Franciacorta’ are put together with the intention to turn this sparkling wine into an expression of place.
Vinification
Cuvée prepared in the spring after harvest with the blending of a 20 per cent proportion of reserve wines cleverly divided between Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Fermentation in bottle and maturation on its own yeasts for a period of at least 24 months are essential for complexity and body. A touch of Extra Brut dosage, for a harmonious finale.
Appearance
Straw yellow with greenish reflections, like the hills of Franciacorta, and a delicate soft foam and persistent, fine perlage that make it a visual symphony, announcing a sensory feast.
Aroma
Enjoy the aromatic anarchy of wild flowers, citrus, bread crust, and the sensory delights that they offer. Citrus notes, orange and honey fruits, and floral hints gallop from the glass.
Taste
Or the lively freshness of Berlucchi Franciacorta ’61 Extra Brut, which has a vital, juicy freshness that recovers the senses; notes of juicy white peach, Golden Delicious apple, lemon candy, brioche softness on the finish, the aftertaste of elegance. The light notes of citrus, beans and honey are a balance of softness that is lovely.
Pairings
Profumi di Prosecco is perfect with light dishes and cheeses, enhancing and complementing their flavour with a depth and complexity. Pair it with stuffed ravioli, lake fish, rice, pasta, white meats and fresh cheeses.
